June 26th, the Cote-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-grâce Borough Council is expected to make a decision on the fate of the Empress Theatre (formerly Cinema V) on the corner of Old Orchard & Sherbrooke. Three organisations have submitted proposals to the City of Montréal under the appel public de propositions pour un projet de revitalisation relatif â l'immeuble situé au 5560 , Rue Sherbrooke O à Montréal. An evaluation committee will make recommendations in early June and a vote is expected at the Borough Council meeting on the 26th. One organisation, the Empress Cultural Centre, has made their proposal public. It is available here.

La Maison Verte is looking for a few volunteers to work directly with our Marketing Coordinator to translate our bulletin and the occasional document. Interested?
