June 26th, the Cote-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-grâce Borough Council is expected to make a decision on the fate of the Empress Theatre (formerly Cinema V) on the corner of Old Orchard & Sherbrooke. Three organisations have submitted proposals to the City of Montréal under the appel public de propositions pour un projet de revitalisation relatif â l'immeuble situé au 5560 , Rue Sherbrooke O à Montréal. An evaluation committee will make recommendations in early June and a vote is expected at the Borough Council meeting on the 26th. One organisation, the Empress Cultural Centre, has made their proposal public. It is available here.
