... come by the coop to find out about our other member discounts!
Lazy summer days are upon us. The iced tea is flowing merrily at the coop, and so are stories of bike rides, park lounging, barbeques, gardens growing and deserted office spaces. We're keeping busy planning the months ahead, based on all the suggestions you've been sharing with us over the past year.
We are already planning the return to school, and we want to make sure we are offering you what you need. Assuming every item on the back to school list were available in an eco-friendly format (and they are!), which would you want to include in your purchases this year? Fill out this short survey and help us choose what to offer our members for the back to school.
Would you like to save money and stock up on your favorite organic products? Want to help your co-op grow while you save? We are organizing a meeting to discuss new ways to get our members better deals. Bulk Buying? Fidelity cards? The sky is the limit but we need your input. If you are interested in helping us put this together or would like to know more please contact kurt@cooplamaisonverte.com.
Have you noticed anything new at the coop? We've graced our shelves with new labelling for all food items, with the hope of making your trek through the aisles a little easier and a whole lot more informative. Take a look at this presentation to get yourself acquainted with them... there is a whole lot of knowledge packed into a 1"x3,5"!
A great success in 2010, NDG Arts Weekend has grown to a week-long event this year, from August 19-28. The coop is happy to host the following events, as part of the Arts NDG Week programming:
August 19 - 5 à 7 and press conference
August 27 - Arts Walk

Barter Market
It happens every year. You've seeded or purchased your plants, put them in the earth, watched them grow. Flowers have turned to vegetables (or fruits) and you come to the stark realisation that you have produced more food than you could ever eat (or can). Your neighbors have learned to recognise those bulging grocery bags, filled to the brim with those zuchinis, tomatoes and cucumbers you just can't get rid of, from the other end of the street.
We've got a solution for you!
The coop is inviting all its backyard farmers to take part in a barter market on Saturday afternoons from 1pm to 5pm, in front of the coop, from early July onwards. Bring your recent crop and exchange fruits and veggies with others!
We invite you to donate all the produce that has not been exchanged to the NDG Food Depot.
