Coop la Maison verte would like to welcome the New Year by suggesting the following resolutions to help reduce our ecological footprints and live more sustainable lives:
- Support your local economy: buy locally
- Support local, organic agriculture: sign up for CSA baskets and shop at farmers' markets
- Get to know your neighbours
- Help build and sustain healthy communities
- Use public transportation
- Ride your bike, use your Rollerblades, skateboard, etc.
Happy New Year everyone! And happy New Year, Mother Earth!
From The Liaison Committee:
All of us on the Board of Directors of Coop la Maison verte wish you happy holidays and a green New Year!
The Board recently took out a support membership in a new community Coop in LaSalle called Connections Community Coop. The Coop is a non-profit solidarity cooperative founded by eight women residing in Lasalle. We encourage you to learn more about this group at Facebook and www.meetup.com.
