On Tuesday, June 16, at 6:30 PM, Coop la Maison verte will hold its Annual General Meeting for 2008. The AGM is an important time to reflect on our work, ask questions and look for ways to improve the Coop and get involved as members. This is really the key work of the Coop. Indeed, it is one of the things that sets us apart from almost all conventional retail business.
Members contribute to the Coop in myriad ways. User and support members purchase products (a few have a coffee every day), help with the websites, help in the store and serve on the Board of Directors. Worker members work to build the Coop business. They serve on the Board, and serve coffee. They fill soap bins, build websites and organize events. They also attend Annual General Meetings. This member involvement is crucial to the ongoing sustainability of the Coop.
So please join us as we review last year and look forward to the year ahead. It should prove to be an interesting and inspiring evening. To view the convocation and agenda, please visit our website.
PS There will be snacks!
