What's up at MUCS? Earth Day Open House (Wed. Aril 23)

This is also a great opportunity to learn more about MUCS - you can tour the space and learn about the different MUCS initiatives: the Dining Coop, the Free School, the Zero Food Waste project, and the Integrated Design process. The MUCS Dining Coop is a dynamic community space for members to cook and eat together. Not only is the dining co-op an economical and ecological approach to cooking and dining, it is also a way to build community in NDG through social gathering and friendship building.

The evening will go like this:

6:00 PM
Bike Tool and Skill Share! In the Drive-way. Come by, and bring your bike tools, and bike repair skills, and do some spring bike maintenance with other cyclists!

Seed-Ball Making! By the Permaculture Guild: Make balls of seeds and clay that help regenerate soil ecosystems!

Tour the MUCS space! MUCS Members will be on hand to show people around the space, and explain what it is that we do.

7:00 PM
Introduction to the MUCS initiatives! For those who are interested, we will have representatives of the different MUCS initiatives, (the Dining Coop, the Free School, the Zero Food Waste project, and the Integrated Design process) who will offer a brief introduction, and answer any questions you may have.

7:30 PM
A delicious vegetarian dinner! Share a meal with the MUCS dining coop, relax, and enjoy the food, the company, and the conversation! Supper is free for members, and we ask for a $2-$6 voluntary donation from non-members - no one turned away! Ever!

8:30 PM
Film Screening: Fern Gully For those who are young at heart feel free to stay to watch this animated film about how clear cutting is bad for the little forest fairys.
