Events

Please join us in an evening of knitting, whether you are a novice or a pro. There will be a good number of skilled knitters to assist those who are new to the scene. It is open to any and all who are interested. Usually, these events are a great venue for interesting discussions and meeting warm friendly faces. For those who just want to learn some pointers or practice, there will be extra needles and yarn to use during the event. Workshop hosted by Rhea Nelken.

How dependent are we on industrial food? Is the food you are eating safe, nutritious and wholesome? Mass-produced food, including some of the larger organic brands, may be more inexpensive and convenient than the locally grown alternatives, but what is their true cost? Are we considering all of the factors that contribute to their production, distribution, and effects on our health? How can we gain control over what we eat?

Spring is upon us, but that doesn't mean that the knitting must stop! Please join us for another knitting event at Coop la Maison verte. The past two events have hosted all skill levels and it might be a good excuse to work on those projects you just keep putting off. There will be extra needles and yarn, as always, for those who want to learn and are not yet equipped. Get your knit on!
