Come to Green Christmas at the Biosphère and discover 1000 ways to have a greener holiday! Running from December 4 to 6, the fourth edition of the Recycling-Artists Eco Fair will bring together 52 local exhibitors with the same artistic and environmental approach who create objects, accessories, jewellery and clothing from recycled materials. Admission to the Biosphère will be free for this event.

The DIY Eco-Design workshops will give artists at heart an opportunity to make their own green creations such as wrapping paper, decorations and prepared food gifts. With a different theme each weekend, the free bilingual workshops are being held on December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20. Space is limited and you must make reservatios by phone at 514-496-8282 or e-mail at reservations.biosphere@ec.gc.ca.

Get children aged 3 to 12 involved! They will love the Sainte-Émilie Flying Beavers story, a heart-warming tale that combines humour and mystery and makes us think about our modern holiday customs. A not-to-be-missed event: Saturday, December 5th, Laure Waridel, author of Acheter, c’est voter : le cas du café and L’envers de l’assiette, will be there for a talk with the children. They are also invited to participate in the Eco-Elves Workshop and to meet a Green Santa who will give them a small green gift.

In the Ecoological House, use the holiday menu specially prepared by Laure Waridel, with all the passion she is known for, as inspiration and add your own green holiday gift suggestions on the green enthusiasts’ board!

The exhibit 100% Design, Zero Waste promotes the work of the recycling-artists who, each year, divert hundreds of tons of materials and objects from landfills by giving them a new, stylish and modern look.
