Give the planet a gift ... Recapture the Holiday spirit!

To celebrate the holiday season, the Environment Canada's Biosphère is pleased to present its Green Christmas programming from November 27 to January 4. As varied as they are entertaining, the activities are intended as an invitation to give the planet a gift by being a greener, more responsible consumer, and making green choices during the holiday season.

Savvy Salvage Exhibition - November 27 to January 4

In addition, an exhibition of 50 pieces of furniture, tables, lamps, decorative objects and accessories will highlight the ingenuity and creativity of artists and designers who give a second life to materials and objects bound for the garbage.

Green Santa arrival and Family Fun - December 6 to January 4

On Saturday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m., the children and their parents are invited to attend the official arrival of Green Santa, in an environmentally friendly vehicle driven by a reindeer, which will launch the family activities. On this occasion, the jolly old fellow will offer funny green gifts and admission will be free for everyone. Green Santa will greet visitors throughout the entire pre-Christmas period: December 6, 7, 13, 14, and 20 to 24. Family Fun activities continue until January 4. Young and old alike will enjoy the illustrated tale Sainte-Émilie Flying Beavers that combines that combines humour and mystery: In a village in the Haute-Mauricie area, will the magic of the holiday season find a place in the daily life of a busy young family? Tying back to the story, children will be invited to make a surprise bag of green resolutions using recovered materials at the Eco-Elves Creative Workshop.
