What's Up at MUCS is a weekly electronic bulletin full of upcoming events and recent developments with the MUCS Project.


MUCS (Montreal Urban Community Sustainment) is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing sustainable community in Montréal by creating an ecological development that will include:

- co-operative, affordable, accessible housing
- co-operative and social economy businesses
- community resources such as popular education and social services

Saturday March 29 : MUCS Un-Birthday Party

6:00PM, music starts at 9:00 PM. 219-2000 Northcliffe - across the street from Metro Vendome.

Come celebrate with us the success of the Dining Co-op, the Montreal Free School and other Montreal Urban Community Sustainment (MUCS) initiatives that have taken off over the past year! Dinner will be served at 6 PM, and there will be games for kids. Starting at 9 PM entertainment will be provided by talented musicians and spoken word artists. There is a suggested donation of $5-$10, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Zero Food Waste Network

The first 2 days of the Zero Food Waste were a great success. Over 300 pounds of fresh produce was sorted and distributed to the NDG Food Depot on Monday night and over 50 pounds of food was passed out to some of the mothers at Women on the Rise.
