The Earth Dialogues and the Padua Centre present:

Opening the Global Heart : Pathways from Despair to Empowerment

www.padua.ca

This workshop will carve a pathway through pain and disillusionment towards recognizing our true nature as resilient beings in the web of life. Using creative exercises from the Work that Reconnects -- including movement, play, meditation and ritual -- we will honour both our gratitude for life and the pain we feel at what is befalling our world. We will let the earth speak through us, for the Earth's healing is our healing; planetary grief is our grief. When we listen inside to what we know about the condition of our world, we can experience our interbeing with life. We can reawaken our love in life and our power to act.

This workshop will include the Truth Mandala, an opportunity to deepen our capacity to take part in the healing of our world.

When: Saturday March 15, 10 am - 5 pm
Where: The Padua Centre, 1950 St. Antoine St., Montreal. See www.padua.ca for detailed directions.
Cost: $25 CAD or pay what you can.
Lunch: Lunch will be a potluck -- please bring a dish to share!

Space is limited. To reserve your place, contact Rebekah at dancingpine@gmail.com or 514-933-0346.

What is The Work that Reconnects?
The Work that Reconnects is an experiential workshop model that was developed by Joanna Macy in response to the environmental and social challenges we face. Her work integrates theory and practice from deep ecology, systems theory, Engaged Buddhism, and other traditions of spirituality and social action. (See www.joannamacy.net.)

Your Facilitator:
Rebekah Hart has been facilitating workshops and retreats in the Work that Reconnects since 2003. Last year, she worked with Padua Centre to initiate the Earth Dialogue eco-spiritual workshop series. Rebekah has participated in three trainings with Joanna Macy, including a full-month retreat held last September. She is also a graduate of the McGill School of Environment, and is currently training in Hakomi (mindfulness-based pyschotherapy). Rebekah integrates meditation, body-awareness, and a love of poetry & play into her workshops. In her day job, Rebekah works as a vocational counselor for a community organization in Little Burgundy, Montreal.

This workshop is sponsored the Padua Centre, www.padua.ca .
